The Grassroots Trade Union of the University of Management and Technology Ho Chi Minh City, was established under Decision No. 493/QĐ-LĐLĐ dated October 3, 2022, by the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor. It stands as the paramount representative organization for the entire institutional workforce, directly affiliated with superior Union authorities in strict accordance with statutory jurisprudence and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. Within a modern higher education environment, the Grassroots Trade Union acts as a vital bridge between employees and the University’s leadership, contributing to a democratic, humane, and sustainable workplace. Aligned with UMT’s mission to develop high-quality human resources, the Grassroots Trade Union relentlessly fosters both the material and psychological well-being of its members. It unequivocally safeguards the legitimate and justifiable rights and interests of the workforce, while concurrently galvanizing an ethos of rigorous innovation and the continuous elevation of professional and academic competencies.
